TCHS Methods of Criminal Investigation students took part in Active Shooter Response Training at SRTC's Tifton Campus. This hands-on experience equipped them with vital knowledge on how to react during an active shooter situation, gave them insight into the crucial role of law enforcement, and allowed them to observe real-time emergency response tactics.

With the rise in school and campus shootings—and the recent threat on our high school campus—this training is more important than ever. It empowers students with life-saving skills that could make all the difference in a critical moment.

Mrs. Hathaway’s Physics students put their study of kinematics and projectile motion into action by designing and launching mousetrap catapults! 🎯 Over two days, they measured vertical and horizontal motion, calculated velocity, range, height, and accuracy, and applied real data to the mathematical computations they’ve been working on this semester. Hands-on learning at its best! #4theT

Area Ag Mechanics Specialist Jerry Stone recently visited Dr. Nichols’ Agricultural Electrification class to discuss the upcoming EMC Wiring Competition. This contest challenges students to demonstrate their skills in electrical wiring, troubleshooting, safety, and proper tool use — all essential skills in agricultural mechanics and future careers in the industry.

Mr. Stone shared contest expectations, provided hands-on tips, and emphasized the importance of precision and safety as students prepare. His visit gave students a valuable opportunity to learn directly from an expert in the field. #4theT

Our Floral Design students had an incredible experience at the Holiday Hustle hosted by RW Wholesale and The Flower Clique! 🌹✨

Students toured RW Wholesale’s floral shop, learned holiday marketing and design tips from industry florists, and connected with retail florists from across the Southeast. They also picked up this week’s class flowers and subscription blooms for our fall arrangements! 🍁💐

Back at school, students stayed after to process flowers and put their new skills into action. We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and dedication! 🌿💛
👉 Stay tuned later this week to see the very first floral arrangement for our Fall Floral Subscription! 🌸🍂
