The Tift County Recreation Department is excited to offer a FREE Open Gym program for youth in our community! This initiative provides a safe, structured space for students to enjoy basketball, stay active, and spend recreational time in the gym.
✅ Parents must download the Otto App and complete registration with both parent and child information.
📌 Approximately 40 spots remain available — register soon!
Program Availability:
📅 February 16 (School Holiday): 12:00–4:30 PM
🌸 Spring Break (Monday–Thursday): 12:00–4:30 PM
🏫 Regular Schedule (Mon–Thurs After School): 3:00–4:30 PM
This is a great opportunity for students to stay active, connect with friends, and enjoy positive recreation in a supervised environment.

🎒 Pre-K Registration for the 2026–2027 school year opens February 17th!
Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026 to be eligible. Space is limited, and slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage families to register as soon as possible. (Any remaining openings as of March 2, 2026 will be made available to out-of-county residents.)

Sunday (February 15th) is National School Resource Officer Day!

Don't forget that all Tift County Schools and offices will be closed Monday, February 16th, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Friday, February 13th will also be a holiday for all students and staff. #4theT

Individual spring pictures and class group pictures will be taken Wednesday, February 18th. Come dressed for success! If you are preordering pictures with cash, please send the exact amount in the order form envelope provided by the photography company. Envelopes will be sent unopened to the company.

It’s time to register for spring sports with the Tift County Recreation Department. The registration deadline is February 12, so don’t wait!
