Attention Northside Pre-K Parents!

📚⭐ Calling all Tift County Second-Grade Readers! The 2nd Grade Book Blitz begins October 1st!

From October 1st through November 1st, second graders will compete to become their school’s Super Reader by earning the highest word count in Book Taco.

To qualify, students must:

📘 Take a Book Taco quiz for each book to receive word-count credit
⭐ Maintain an average quiz score of 80% or higher
📚 Only take quizzes on books checked out from the school library in their name

Each school will recognize one Super Reader, and winners will be announced during a District-wide Reading Rally for all second graders!

Almost 1/2 of our students have turned in a correct code for a Book Buddy! You can follow the directions on the lanyard that your child brought home OR you can use the QR code on the images. Enter 8 email addresses and your student gets a book buddy!!

Every family and community has a story worth sharing.

Celebrate Share a Story Thursday with a favorite book, family memory, childhood adventure or story about someone who inspired you. Stories help children learn about the people and places around them while connecting generations and communities.

Ask someone today: “What’s a story you love to share?”

Congratulations to third grader Linda Mascorro for receiving an honorable mention in the Fiesta del Pueblo art contest. "Celebrate the beauty, diversity, and traditions of the Spanish-speaking world through the eyes of our region’s young artists. The Fiesta del Pueblo Exhibit features artwork by artists ages 9–17 inspired by the theme Art, Culture, and Landscape in Spanish-Speaking Countries. Through paintings, drawings, sculpture, and more, these talented artists showcase the vibrant cultures, customs, landmarks, and landscapes of Latin America, Spain, Puerto Rico, and beyond." Celebrate Talk Together Tuesday by starting a conversation with a child. Ask about their day, listen to their ideas and encourage them to tell you more. Every question, answer and shared laugh helps build language, vocabulary and connection.
